Steep, high, and complex roofs can be very difficult to sketch. Luckily, there are sites that can draw the roof for you and provide you with the file needed for your software (ex. receive an .ESX if working with Xactimate). Some firms cover the cost of these sketches, while others do not. If it is not covered, it is up to you to determine if it is worth your time and money to measure and sketch it yourself, or simply pay and have it done for you. Occasionally, depending on location or surrounding trees/blockages, these sketches may not be available.
