License Reciprocity Map

Reciprocal Licenses

Once you have obtained your license, you are able to apply for licenses that reciprocate with your home state/designated home state. These non-resident licenses do not require you pass any additional tests or pre-licensing courses but do give you adjusting privileges within that state. *We highly recommend looking into reciprocity prior to applying for a designated home state license.* For a more in depth look at designated home state licensing, check out our blog here

All states do not reciprocate the same! For example, South Carolina reciprocates with New York – if NY is your home state/designated home state, you can apply for a reciprocal license for SC. On the other hand, NY does not reciprocate with any other state. All non-resident adjusters must apply and test for the NY non-resident license.
